Welcome to the homepage of Beeing Creative — a web site for parents, carers and their children under 5.  

The enterprise was formed by three young (ish!) mums who were disappointed to find a lack of quality arts and crafts provision for pre-school children and were keen to develop Beeing Creative as a way of making the magic of the arts available to this group.

Beeing Creative will encourage children’s creativity and development by allowing them the freedom to express themselves at the same time as providing the theory & principals behind activities in a fun and supportive environment. Workshops will also take the opportunity to encourage parents and carers to be creative, and to forge a strong emotional link with their child by encouraging communication and interaction from an early age.  

We were recently awarded funding from UnLtd, a millennium organisation who specialise in funding social entrepreneurs. They were impressed with our aim to provide a social support network for new mums - Cath, Jo & Catherine met through coffee mornings & found each others' support to be invaluable when dealing with new babies & all the associated issues! We hope to offer the same friendly, informal atmosphere to other parents and help to develop lasting friendships between carers who attend our workshops. 

We aim to introduce children to a life-long love of the arts! As the children grow so do the activities, providing lovely mementoes of their early years.
